SECTION 34 DISPERSAL ORDER - WOODLEY

A Section 34 Dispersal Order is currently in place in the Woodley Town Centre and the surrounding areas (see link below for picture) following reports of disorder at Woodley Carnival this evening. 

This includes Loddon Bridge Road, Crochhamwell Road, Antrim Road, Fairwater Drive, Howarth Road, Wroxham Road, Western Avenue back towards Butt Hill Road.

Under the order, police have powers to disperse and individuals or groups causing public disorder or nuisance. 

Anybody dispersed under this order is liable to arrest should they refuse to comply with the order or return to the area while the order is in place. 

The order is currently in place until 7pm tomorrow, with the option to extend it if necessary.  

Police will be in the area for the remainder of the day. 

Please adhere to the order to avoid the risk of being arrested.
